Continuing the historic tradition, five NDL members attended the Spring 2005 meeting of the Materials Research Society (MRS) in San Francisco delivering four presentations in tree different symposiums.

Six NDL members gave seven presentations (4 talks and 3 posters) at the March 2005 meeting of the American Physical Society (APS) in Los Angeles.

The total of eleven (11!) NDL presentations at APS and MRS meetings covered recent experimental and theoretical results on optoelectronic applications of ZnO quantum dots, thermal transport in semiconductor nanostructures, self-heating effects in GaN-based transistors, and Raman spectrosvopy of nanostructures.
